Our book of the month for April is a book of prayers called, The Valley of Vision. This book is a collection of prayers from the English Puritans. Now almost fifty years old, The Valley of Vision has been a treasure to many Christians. In it we find a breadth of language and thought that is much richer than what our prayers tend to be. A book like this would be a good accompaniment to your daily devotional time. Reading one prayer as you prepare to pray will help you think and pray in new ways, give you new language to express praise to God, confess sin and ask the Lord for things we need.
