In Romans 9, we see clearly that God saves his children, he chooses whom he will save. From verse 30, into chapter 10, we have very clearly human responsibility. Humans are to respond in obedient faith to God’s revelation. In these verses we see that Israel sought to establish their own righteousness instead of submitting to God’s righteousness.
